Twickel Estate
Just a short walk from MORE Twickel lies Twickel Estate, one of the Netherlands' most beautiful and best-preserved country estates, with a history spanning more than 675 years. At its heart stands the impressive Twickel Castle, still home to descendants of the estate's last baroness.
Surrounding the castle are extensive forests, heathlands, farmland and characteristic estate farms with their distinctive black-and-white shutters. The varied landscape offers countless opportunities for walking and cycling. The English landscape gardens, historic watermill and traditional sawmill are also well worth a visit.
